About The Arrow and Courage of Care
The Arrow Journal explores the relationship among contemplative practice, politics, and activism.
Courage of Care is a community of practice that offers a politicized and contemplative framework (CourageRISE) to help individuals, communities, and organizations build liberatory culture. We also offer specialized training to support “relational facilitators” in the art of transformative gathering.
In 2024, Courage became the proud home of The Arrow Journal and its archives. We’ve been growing and weaving our communities together ever since.
What’s in a name?
In many cultures, the arrow is a traditional image of bravery and precision. Within the speed and chaos of our present world, the arrow symbolizes the courage to define a clear direction for how we might benefit others and society.
Courage of Care’s name also is imbued with meaning. The more that we sense that we are held in a field or network of care, the more we are empowered to rise, show up, and care.
